What is the Manor House?
When the lake was built in 1928 a large parcel of land was set aside for a tennis court, basketball games, a horseshoe pit and a playground. Presiding over all this is the building known as the Manor House. Designed in the style of a grange, the building is surrounded by tall pines.

The upper floor is ringed with a wrap-around porch; inside is a great stone fireplace, an open ceiling with exposed beams and a massive meeting room. One corner boasts a bandstand!

The ground floor originally had a full kitchen that served breakfast and lunch every day. Beyond an area filled with tables and chairs was a separate barroom - that's right, Prohibition or no, Lake residents could enjoy their draft beers.
